Grupo Nutresa has been in the DSJI for nine consecutive years.
Grupo Nutresa, a company composed of several business units such as Cordillera Chocolates, has been awarded, for the first time in their history, the most sustainable food company in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI 2019).
This recognition is an example of our excellence in corporate practices on health and nutrition, human capital development, materiality, taxes strategy, eco operational efficiency, corporate citizenship and philanthropy, packaging, risks associated to water and environmental reports.
Carlos Ignacio Gallego, Grupo Nutresa´s president, pointed out that “being the most sustainable food company in the DJSI World Index, shows a conscious and transcendent action, focused on people to generate economic development and social progress while respecting the planet. The firm RobecoSAM has evaluated 84 companies in the food industry according to their corporate practices in the different dimensions of sustainability.
